Word.Sound.Power is a New Delhi based collective that formed in 2010 and constructs multimedia collaborations with South Asian artists on issues of social justice. The team is made-up of electronic music producer Chris McGuiness and dancehall artist Delhi Sultanite who travel across South Asia with their mobile studio, recording sounds, creating music for 'the people by the people.' Each project culminates in a music album and documentary, and their latest project saw them head to Kucheipadur, India which became a conflict zone after large deposits of the mineral from aluminum was found. The result of the trip was a mash-up of revolutionary songs in Oriya and Kui tribal languages. Check the album out here.
